PlainShot for Mac
Terms of Use
PlainShot is provided by Oktay Kırık in Türkiye. These terms describe use of the macOS screenshot and annotation app and its purchase model.
License and consumer rights
The Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs your license to the Mac App Store version of PlainShot. These product terms supplement that agreement and do not replace it. If there is a conflict about the app license, Apple’s standard agreement applies. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights or protections under applicable law.
30-day free trial
PlainShot offers a free 30-day trial activated explicitly through an App Store non-consumable transaction. Opening the app or viewing the Access screen does not start the trial. The verified original transaction date starts a period of 30 × 24 hours. Reinstalling or restoring the trial does not restart that period.
The trial does not automatically renew or convert into a paid purchase. After it expires, starting new captures requires Permanent Unlock. Existing history remains available to view, copy, save, and delete without an active capture entitlement. A revoked trial does not grant capture access.
Permanent Unlock, purchases, and refunds
Permanent Unlock is an optional one-time, non-consumable purchase. There is no recurring subscription. The App Store displays the current local price and purchase terms before you confirm. Permanent Unlock removes the trial limit for the purchased app; it does not promise perpetual updates, support, compatibility with every future operating system, or access to separate products.
Use Restore Purchases in Settings → Access with the Apple Account used for the original purchase, subject to Apple’s usage rules and product availability. Apple handles billing and refund requests. A refunded or revoked unlock removes permanent access; any remaining valid trial may still apply. For refund requests, visit Apple’s Report a Problem.
Your captures and responsibilities
You retain your rights in your screenshots and annotations; using PlainShot does not transfer ownership to us. You are responsible for having permission to capture, edit, use, and share the content on your screen and for respecting privacy, intellectual property, confidentiality obligations, and applicable law.
Review the complete image before sharing it. Pixelation and other annotation tools modify the exported pixels but are not a guarantee that sensitive information cannot be inferred. PlainShot does not provide secure document redaction or a backup service.
A completed capture is saved locally to history as a flattened PNG. Saving also creates a copy at your selected destination. Editing sessions are temporary; canceling a session discards unfinished edits. Moving a history item to Trash does not remove independently saved or shared copies. Keep your own backups of important captures.
Requirements and availability
PlainShot requires macOS 14 or later and Screen Recording permission to capture. Protected content, macOS restrictions, permissions, or hardware differences may prevent a particular capture. App Store features may require an internet connection and a valid Apple Account. Capture and editing use local processing once access is available.
Warranty, liability, and changes
The warranty, liability, and termination provisions of Apple’s standard license apply to the Mac App Store app, subject to applicable law and your mandatory consumer rights. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or that every capture will be suitable for a particular purpose.
We may release updates or revise these product terms. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date. Changes remain subject to Apple’s license and applicable consumer law and do not remove rights you already have under those rules.
Privacy and support
The Privacy Policy describes local capture processing, storage, StoreKit, and support messages. For help, see Support or email oktay.kirik@icloud.com.
